Some of the major Mission activities in which we are always involved include our partnerships with SVCM and Habitat for Humanity. Check out our full list of local mission partners.

We have a long and deep relationship with Habitat for Humanity working with them every summer to build a Habitat house in partnership with other Presbyterian Churches in the region.

Our partnership with Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry which is a non-profit ministry that BMPC members helped organize in 1975 to address the immediate needs of the individuals in this community. BMPC members donate roughly 170 volunteer hours EVERY month, and our congregation donates over 350 items of canned goods monthly, and over $10,000 annually to SVCM.

Where our mission money goes

HabBowlJesus: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Question: “Who is my neighbor?”

Jesus: “…But a Samaritan saw him and was moved with pity and went to him and bandaged his wounds and took him to an inn and took care of him.”

Jesus’ Question: “Who was a neighbor to the man who was robbed?”

Answer: “The one who showed him mercy.”

Jesus: “Go and do likewise.”
