High School Winter/Spring Calendar

The youth of BMPC are integrally involved in the whole life of the congregation, with active involvement in both worship services, often leading liturgy at both First Light and 11:00 worship. We have a youth elder that serves on Session and Worship Ministry Team. Youth participate in inter-generational mission trips and local mission projects. Our youth intentionally, joyfully, and regularly interact with all members of the larger community of faith. Youth is a place for all 6th through 12th graders to connect to the Church, the world around them, each other, and adults that care about them. Youth Ministry at BMPC is built on the five intentions of youth ministry as set forth by the PC(USA).

  • To call young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
  • To respond to the needs and the interests of young people.
  • To work together, youth and adults, in partnership.
  • To be connected to the whole church, community, and the world.
  • To include all young people, reaching out and inviting them to belong to the community of faith.

To find out more about youth ministry at BMPC, please email Chandler, the Interim Youth Director: or call 669-2725. Our Youth Ministry offers a variety of opportunities for youth to deepen their faith and connect to God, one another, and to the church:

  • Separate Sunday morning church school classes for middle school youth and high school youth at 9:40 am on Sundays during the school year.
  • Sunday evening youth group that includes a meal and a program most Sunday evenings of the school year from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
  • Spring and Fall overnight camping trips/retreats for both MS and HS youth groups.
  • Annual participation in Presbytery Youth Retreats and Rallies with other Presbyterian youth from across Western NC.
  • Confirmation occurs each year from January to May. Students in 8th grade or older who wish to be confirmed are invited to participate in the process.
  • Summer Trips include Youth Conferences and Mission Trips.

BMPC – Child Safety Policy

BMPC has implemented a Child Safety Policy that helps ensure that all our children and youth are cared for and nurtured by screened and trained adults.

Make sure that you are receiving the weekly Youth email updates. If not, email Chandler and ask to be added to the MS or HS email list. This will keep you in the know about what is upcoming, especially last minute things that don’t make it to the website.

All youth need a current annual medical release and information form on file. Please make sure yours is current.
