Membership is open to all who recognize a need for the grace and love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Black Mountain Presbyterian seeks to welcome all people. New members are received after attending Discovery class or meeting with Pastor Mary Katherine. discovery Class

Please click the link below if you plan to attend an upcoming Discovery to learn more about Black Mountain Presbyterian Church! Attendees will hear from Ministry Team leaders, members of the church, and meet staff members. Coffee and muffins/pastries will be served. Attending these classes does not mean that you are expected to join as a member of BMPC.

Those who complete the class and decide to join BMPC are then received in one of five ways:

Certificate of Transfer
If you have made a profession of faith and are a member of another church, you may join by certificate of transfer.

Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ
If you were previously baptized and making public profession of faith for the first time (have never previously joined a church).

Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ and Baptism
If you have not been baptized, you may join by making a public profession of faith with baptism.

Reaffirmation of Faith
If you have been a member of a Christian church, but have not been active in recent years, you may join by re-affirming your need of, and dependence on, Christ.

Affiliate Membership
For persons who are living in our community temporarily and want to establish a relationship at Black Mountain Presbyterian Church.
