Hurricane Helene Relief
The day after Helene made it's way through Black Mountain, NC, we began feeding our community by serving hot meals. It expanded along with restaurants in town that couldn't open without power and water. People from far reaches started bringing supplies to our church and making financial donations as well as coming by for respite. We began distributing supplies and are still doing that now. We continue receiving donations and are planning next steps for the future. We have received supplies and donations from 40 cities around NC, 20 cities across SC, and 21 other states! Our valley is rebuilding and we are happy to be a part of that effort.
People from all over have donated resources and we want to shepherd that into helping our valley. If you have needs for things like cleaning out a home, cleaning up a yard, rebuilding driveways or homes, or anything else, please click the button above and give us your information. We will try to match appropriate help, but don't want you to turn down other assistance if offered. If we find someone to help, we will be in touch to make plans.
We distribute free supplies to the community from our temporary supply center as well as support other supply areas and those that cannot travel. We are accepting limited supplies at this time by appointment only. Please click the button above to contact us about supplies or visit and shop from our Amazon Wish List. And, please stay in touch as new needs arise.
As the Task Force for Helene Relief at BMPC is making small grants to local organizations supporting relief efforts, they have created the above Grant application. Please download the form, complete the information and gather additional documentation, and return it to our church. We have monthly meetings and will be requesting site visits to discuss the application as well as make decisions how we can best help our Valley recover.
